Atelier de Melusine

Sally Annett is the Directrice of the Association A T E L I E R M E L U S I N E.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Painting and Print Making with InterArts Hons. from Bretton Hall (Leeds University. UK) a master’s degree in Intercultural Communications from the University of Bedfordshire and the subject of her doctoral research is; The Mythopoetics of (the) Melusine: the contemporary interpretation of an Indo-European Serpent Goddess. The A T E L I E R M E L U S I N E is the basis for/of all the artefacts for this project.
Annett has thirty years of experience working in the contemporary arts; as artist, researcher, curator, producer and consultant. She is best known for her site specific, temporary, public art projects and is the recipient of many grants and awards, the last for her major project with Bletchley Park and Wrest Park (UK) ‘Systems of Philosophy - Wall(paper)s of Mind’ (Arts Council England Grants for the Arts 2018). Research and collaboration are central to her personal practice and she is curator, commissioner and collector.
Annett has work in public and private collections internationally and has been reviewed and writes internationally. She is published by Foulsham press.
Annett’s current projects running out of the atelier are ‘Women and Water - 4 Rivers’, ‘COVID-19 Lockdown’ and ‘Places of Power’.

Morgan Annett-Parish is the youngest of Annett’s three children and is the gallery assistant and archivist, he has worked alongside Annett for most of his life and is now producing his own mixed media, film and photographic work. He has helped establish the A T E L I E R and oversees all photography, installation of works and language translation. He is about to undertake a first degree in Anthropology.

L' A T E L I E R M E L U S I N E est à la base de tous les artefacts de ce projet. Annett a trente ans d'expérience dans les arts contemporains, en tant qu'artiste, chercheur, conservateur, producteur et consultant. Elle est surtout connue pour ses projets d'art public temporaires et spécifiques à un site, et a reçu de nombreuses subventions et récompenses, la dernière pour son projet majeur avec Bletchley Park et Wrest Park (Royaume-Uni) "Systems of Philosophy - Wall(paper)s of Mind" (Arts Council England Grants for the Arts 2018). La recherche et la collaboration sont au cœur de sa pratique personnelle et elle est conservatrice, commissaire et collectionneuse.
