Linda QUINN is an award-winning actress, director and writer.
British, she also spends time writing in the Vienne region of SW France where she is currently completing her next novel, the first of a trilogy. Originally titled ‘The Toffee Man’, as is the screen play developed from it, we are delighted that Quinn will be in the atelier reading excepts directly from the manuscript.
'The Toffee Man is set in rural England in the late 1960s as the world prepares for the moon landings. Scientific developments and the ‘new age’ bring sweeping changes. The effects of postwar austerity and rationing have relaxed throughout the decade, along with social attitudes. The big truths are being dismantled and ‘God is dead’. Hopes for a better world are high. Rural England has yet to feel the impact. April, 9, her parents, Hope and Andy, and four younger brothers live on a council caravan site. A traveler community have joined them, in an isolated valley between a decaying canal and a river, sat among the ruins of its industrious past. Following a riot which sees Andy sent to prison, the tenants of the site are evicted and rehoused. When Hope and her family move into a small village community it seems their dreams of a fresh start are made possible with the help of the village. The real nightmare has only begun.'

Pour la première fois depuis le début de cette folle aventure, En Plein Virage fête son anniversaire et n'entend pas le faire à moitié !
Le samedi 10 juin, de 11h30 à 23h30, vous pourrez retrouver des artistes et des musiciens qui ont marqué, vous pourrez aussi en découvrir d'autres, faire sérigraphier un T-shirt aux couleurs de l'événement, vous pourrez retrouver des copains, vous taper dans le dos et trinquer aux bons moments passés ensemble !
