Trees and Kabbalah
Annett has been working with the Tree of Life and Kabbalah for over thirty years.
Her Tarot deck and book, ‘The Atavist Tarot’, co-written with Rowena WIllard-Wright was published by Foulsham in 2003 after the exhibition of her paintings of the major arcana in Milton Keynes Gallery in 1998.
The tree of life glyph if central to her work and the 2019/2020 retrospectives ‘stepping on the heads of snake’ was partly to examine the work.
Below are galleries of some of the images.
Annett’s Master’s dissertation is on 21st Century British Kabbalahm with case studies Ben Zev Shimon Halevi, Dolores Ashcroft Nowiki and Colin A Low, all of who have mentored and taught her.
Annett’s specific interest is metarepresentation and consciousness, looking at the biological (biochemcial) and social evolution of human consciousness, often through ecology, image and alphabet as well as direct experiential and immersive performance and ritual.
She is a London LASER speaker and her 2014 lecture can be viewed here, she has also spoken at Breaking Convention, Re-enchanting the Academy and at the BASS conferences where she has lectured using kabbalistic techniques and meditation.
