We bought the building 4 Rue de Trupet, La Trimouille, in March 2017. Our belongings arrived in May 2017 without us and after floods, trials and tribulations the studio/atelier/gallery opened to the public on 07 December 2018 with Annett’s exhibition ‘Systems of Philosophy – Wall(paper)s of Mind’. The building still has plenty of renovation (six miles of underground tunnels allegedly) to complete but has gone from strength to strength hosting several major international shows, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and allowing artists the time, space and freedom to develop their practice and thinking. The atelier now runs regular courses in several disciplines and Annett is leading a week’s residential course, ‘Painting L’Arbre de Vie’ at Chateau Chezeaux in August 2020.
We have exhibited more than 80 artists work and had in excess of 700 visitors over the course of the year. We became a not for profit organisation in April 2019, the Association ATELIER MELUSINE and have a growing membership.
A huge thank you to all our supporters, friends and colleagues in La Trimouille and La Vienne who have made this possible, Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.

Our next show is ‘Fear of Getting Lost’ by Freya Payne – February 01 2020 – Mars 20 – 2020 and our planned 2020 programme includes collaborations with Chung Hua Catherine Dong, Anne Bean and Rob La Frenais.

Annett has directly funded all building works and exhibitions over the past three years and we are currently applying for European funding, however, our position in France/Europe maybe negatively impacted by BREXIT. There are several ways you can support the continuation of our work; by becoming a member, by supporting Annett’s Patreon account and, most importantly by buying artworks!

ATELIER MELUSINE - Bilan de fin d'année 2019

Nous avons acheté l'immeuble 4 Rue de Trupet, La Trimouille, en mars 2017. Nos biens sont arrivés en mai 2017 sans nous et après des inondations, des épreuves et des tribulations, l'atelier/atelier/galerie a ouvert au public le 7 décembre 2018 avec l'exposition d'Annett 'Systèmes de philosophie - murs(papiers) de l'esprit'. Le bâtiment a encore beaucoup de rénovations à faire (six miles de tunnels souterrains soi-disant) mais il est devenu de plus en plus solide en accueillant plusieurs expositions internationales majeures, en encourageant la collaboration interdisciplinaire et en donnant aux artistes le temps, l'espace et la liberté de développer leur pratique et leur pensée. L'atelier offre maintenant des cours réguliers dans plusieurs disciplines et Annett dirige un cours résidentiel d'une semaine, " Peindre l'Arbre de Vie " au Château Chezeaux en août 2020.
Nous avons exposé plus de 80 œuvres d'artistes et avons eu plus de 700 visiteurs au cours de l'année. Nous sommes devenus une association à but non lucratif en avril 2019, l'Association ATELIER MELUSINE et avons un nombre croissant de membres.
Un grand merci à tous les gens de La Trimouille et de La Vienne qui ont rendu cela possible, Joyeux Noël et une très bonne année.
